On 25/05/2023 the legendary Kwame Nsiah Apau professionally known as Okyeame Kwame graced the Aculco Africa Uk studio with his spectacular and warming presence. After a brief introduction by the one and only Dj Kobi, Dj Kobi gave "The Rap Docta" a chance to further introduce himself to his fans. For those that don't know Mr Okyeame is not just one of the biggest musicians Ghana has to offer, but is also an author, philanthropist activist plus businessman. Mr Okyeame Kwame has uniquely thought of a phrase to bring all his talents together which is "Artivist". The " love lockdown" hitmaker also stated that is a happily married man with two beautiful children a boy aged 14 and a daughter aged 11. He also revealed that he in fact has 4 brothers and only 1 sister and that one of his brothers and his sister reside in the UK. 

Continuing his introduction, Mr Kwame Nsiah Apau revealed that he grew up in Kumasi and from kindergarten to university where he obtained his degree were all in Kumasi, but however, it was Legon (Accra) where he obtained his master's. Okyeame Kwame also revealed that before he became the highly successful solo artist he is today he was part of a Hiplife duo called "Okyeames". And that it was not until 1996 that he came out under the Spider's Web's Record label was also registered in the UK.  Okyeame Kwame has a whopping 9 Albums under his belt of which 4 of them are from when he was part of the "Okyeames" and the remaining 5 are his own Albums. To end his introduction of himself Okyeame Kwame simply said " I am a Kumasi man Don't ask me to brag about myself too much I can go on forever."

The fireman Dj Kobi asked The Rap Docta " So in terms of your music career when did all actually start?". The hitmaker shockingly replied "It all started when I was 5", Furthermore, it was in fact his mother who introduced him to Akan poems. He further added that we would recite these poems from house to house in Ashtown. Okyeame Kwame also added and said that " the satisfaction that my recitals gave my audience gave me a sense of happiness and joy". he also added that he actually thought that he would rather become a presenter but not the huge global superstar rapper he is now as he did start as a poet at the tender age of 5. Dj Kobi went on to ask a few more questions which made the superstar Okyeame Kwame divulge and give the fans who were listening to the interview a very detailed timeline of where he really started to make a go of things and eventually become the huge sensational artist he is now. 

After a brief conversation about winning the VGMA "Artiste of the Year " in 2010 which opened huge doors for Okyeame Kwame Dj Kobi asked, "What were you doing differently as compared to now ?". Okyeame Kwame responded with "I was hungry for success" and jokingly "I was also hungry for real food".  he also added " I wanted to be known" and "I wanted to be heard", he also further explained that yes although there was stress, now he is a completely different person and the joys of fatherhood are what keep him grounded and going. He also stated that "You can call me at 3:00 pm in the evening in Ghana and offer me 1 million dollars if I must go and pick up my children and do homework with them that's what I will do its more important to me" If that statement doesn't show you how much of he is a devoted father he is then I don't know what does. After a lengthy about life before marriage and how he met his beautiful wife, Okyeame Kwame stated that marriage was the most beautiful thing that had happened to him and in fact, changed him to be a better person.


DJ Kobi went on to discuss many of Mr Kwame Nsiah Apau's latest accomplishments such as his very successful boxers line to the incredible book he released 2 years ago titled "love lockdown". The incredibly humble star discussed many things that the book entails and revealed that it even had some of his friends questioning some of the things in there. we personally don't want to spoil this amazing interview by revealing too much so why not watch it for yourselves its too good to miss.
